Founder and Director
With nearly 20 years in the social media and digital space, Tan has been behind the scenes for the online engagement of some of your favourite brands. Her previous client list includes Sir David Attenborough, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The King and I, and Kew Gardens.
Tan adopted social media platforms as a means of communication early on when she moved across the world from the UK to NZ as a pre-teen. She then discovered the power of a digital community during university, where created and grew a music community which was active both online and offline. After completing her degree in Media Studies and English Literature, her story took her overseas.
In Sydney, Tan led the digital communications for a popular street press magazine, where she saw the under-utilised potential of growing a social presence. Her passion for storytelling snowballed from there. She was picked up by the biggest entertainment agency in the southern hemisphere where she was the sole social media manager for basically anything that happened on a stage in Australasia.
Next, it was time to step out of her comfort-zone of entertainment. She was then shoulder-tapped by News Corp Australia. During her time there, she helped influence and lead the transition from print to digital. Much of this was accomplished by her flying across Australia providing journalists with the digital confidence to tell their stories via social media.
Flying over to London, she was quickly picked up by the leading entertainment agency in the UK. This is the town of serious plate-spinning. Working with West End shows, Hollywood actors, producers, historical venues, charities and more--again she saw untapped potential. Her passion for music led to winning pitches for Gorillaz, Reading Festival, Leads Festival and Latitude Festival.
Currently Tan works with businesses of all sizes who are looking to build their online reach. She teaches how to communicate with your audience, online growth best practices, and social strategies that work best on each platform.
Tan's goal is to motivate people in a digital space to take action both online and in the real world.
